Reclaiming my Blog was a bitch!
For the past 6 months I have been trying to reclaim this blog, ever since blogspot was sold to the google folks, and I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT!
It took Blogger that long to actually come up with a password retreival function that was worth a damn. Instead of even dealing with the old password, they simply told me to put in my blogspot name, they sent me an email, and then had me go to web page where they tied my gmail account to blogger, woot, finally, way to go, programing and customer service at its finest.
Thank You Finally,
The Red Moose of Exeter

Britney Spears...
Wow, this one is short...
Who Cares, why should we care, can we afford to do this, and why the fuck does this matter to anyone?
Was the Britney-To-Namibia Story a Hoax?
People live your own lives, make them better, don't care about these celebrities, chances are they don't care about you.

The Ever Popular "Don't be a Dumbass"
Preface:
Anyone who reads this and starts going crazy because atheltes are people too, they can suck it.
Ben Roethlisberger...
What can I say? Oh yeah, I know... You are a complete and utter dumbass!
Was that motorcycle ride worth it? Was it worth potentionally career-ending and permanent injury? Was it worth sacrificing your future?
Now I understand the money he made in the last two years can take care of my needs for the most part for my entire life, but let us reflect.
First of all, if he should miss any time due to these injuries, if he should have ANY lingering phyiscal effects, even he has some lingering mental effects, he should give back the proportional amount of money for those games and that percentage from his signing bonus.
I had someone respond to this rant, she being a liberal laywer began going on saying that atheletes are people too, and they should be able to do whatever they want, which I agree Constitutionally. However, my response was one of a sports fan, and also of a different logic. Understanding that people can choose to invest their money in whatever they want, and there is an inherent risk that they loose their investment in a myriad of different ways depending apon investment. In this case however, Big Ben's health is directly proportional the overall performance of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His product is specifically tied to his body and his mental ability to recognize defenses, coverages, routes, and so on. A "normal" human can't do what he does on his level, those are his specific gifts. I believe this argument would be equally viable if Roethlisberger was doing drugs which would potentionally limit his mental AND physical abilities, while also occuring the potentionallity that he could have a catostrophic physical reaction, a la stroke, heart attack, etc. By the way as a Detroiter, I will tell you that Charlie Batch is no where near the quarterback that Roethlisberger is.
Further, the common person invests their money in a sports team, buying tickets and merchandise. The fan pays the salaries of all the players, coaches, employees, and so on. If there were no fans, there would be no professional sports. Understanding the risk factor as mentioned above, fans are also losers in this senario, especially season ticket holders. Season tickets holders cannot withdrawl their investment when something happens that is catastrophic to a team.
Furthermore, in the age of the salary cap, it isn't like the a team can get money back so they can sign someone else, at any position, AND FURTHERMORE, there is NO way that they can a player that has value as Roethesburger does. Also depending upon the time of the year, there is little chance you can find two players that would add up to his total impact.

A Calmer Reflection...
Look folks
The fact of the matter is that gay people are NOT destroying family values in the United States. Ignorance is destroying family values. Heck, one can even argue that the politicians themselves are a leading cause of the demise of family values. How many politicians are caught screwing other people than their spouses, and you can bet that is both Repuplicans and Democtats. However, if we'd simply, if we'd just learn communicate with each other, educate each other, and learn to discuss our problems and accept people for who they are, whether gay, straight, black, white, red, yellow, Catholic, Baptist, Buddhist, Agnostic, atheist, and so on, we eliminate many of these problems. A good person is a good person reguardless. Conversely, a asshole is and asshole. We should be able to evolve past the point of alienating people based upon sex, race, creed, or sexual orientation.
Sound Familiar Anyone?

Amendment on Gay Marriage... MY ASS!
Hello All,
I am not even going to waste the time to talk about the moralarilty for or against gay marriage, so many other folks are doing it, go search it out that discussion elsewhere. I am not even going to discuss if I am a Democrat or Rubplican, Conservative or Liberal.
I am going to talk about the even sillier issue:
WHY IS OUR GOVERNMENT EVEN WASTING TIME AND RESOURCES ON THIS?
Let us for one minute talk about all the other things we could and should be worrying about, hell, let's not talk, let's just list:
1) National Security
2) Education
3) National Economy
4) National Poverty
5) War in Iraq, for or against
6) Poverty
7) Health Care
8) Stopping AIDS
9) Social Security
10) Enviromental Anything
11) Iran, China, North Korea
12) Curing Cancer
13) My Taxes
14) How they spend my taxes
15) Anything 1st Amendment
16) The 2nd Amendment, for or against...
17) Fine tuning wellfare
18) NASA
19) Finding out who the Unknown Soldiers are
20) Pick Something Else... Like Stopping Dutch Elm Disease or the Ash Boar
Second, let's all review what it takes to pass an Amendment to the Constituation.
1) Must pass in the House with a 2/3 Majority
2) Must pass in the Senate with a 2/3 Majoirty
3) States must Ratify it with a 3/4 Majority
I probably missed about a half dozen steps, but does that look like this is going to happen? Good Lord, who the hell even though that there was a chance of getting enough support, in the Senate alone, almost 50% of them are Liberal Democrats.
What this is, is a smoke screen for the President and Ultra-Conservative Republicans to pick up their approval ratings in an Election Year. The sad part is that they prey upon the Religiously Stupid, I mean the Religious Right. Folks that don't use their own minds in formulating their views, morals, and ideals. Sad to say many of these folks must be told how to vote. Also, what I find even funnier, is that they also prey on the poor and uneducated. It's hilarious, we aren't worrying about how people are going to eat, we are worrying about who people are eating.
STOP WASTING MY TIME, STOP WASTING MY MONEY!
