The Da Vinci Code

Hi everyone and anyone...

Ok, right off, if you think this blog entry is going to be about another Christian going bloody crazy over the The Davci Code and saying how sacrilegious it is and all that; well, you too can take your uninformed ass and follow it directly to place where you think all the heathens are going. That's right morons, go to hell!

First thing first, just to not get anyone confused, I am an WELL Educated and Devout Roman Catholic, which for all of you in the cheap seats, I am one of those Christians that reports to the Vatican, you know that city/state/country in the middle of Rome.

I enjoyed the Da Vinci Code. The Code is a well constructed mystery based upon a good amount of historical fact. Please do NOT miss the word "BASED" in that last sentence. Like all good realistic fiction and story telling, the tale is rooted in fact, science, and ideals we hold to be true. Given my upbringing and education (that would sixteen and a half years of Catholic Grade School, High School, and College), I believe myself to be educated in the beliefs, theories, and traditions of the Catholic Church. As I was also I was an Altar Boy, I learned first hand every part of the Mass and what each part of it means and symbolizes. I know why we sit, stand, and kneel at different parts of the Mass, I know why we recite and say the prayers we do during the Mass, I even know the some of the more obscure Masses like Easter Vigil, Good Friday, Holy Thursday, Stations of the Cross, Weddings, Funerals etc. My point being I know what I am talking about....

So let me start with all you Christians who are freaking out over The Da Vinci Code...

All you lemmings... If you need to know what a lemming is, let this defition suffice from Wikipeadia. The term "lemming" is often used in slang to denote those who mindlessly follow the crowd, even if destruction is the result. Back to the point...

All you lemmings...

GET a LIFE, GROW UP, get an EDUCATION, and EXPLORE your FAITH.

The Da Vinci Code is no more blasphemous to Christians than National Treasure was to Americans. THEY ARE BOTH FICTION. ALL of the HULLABALOO has got to stop. OMG! People, get over it! Are you so weak minded, scared, and uninformed that this going to ruin your "Citadel" like faith in Christianity (don't forget your moat)? You know what, even if it was true, Christ's Message would still be the same, don't you think? Honestly, if it was true, wouldn't that make man closer to God, because His genetic coding would be part of many of us? Funny, its more like X-Men than anyone realizes. More than anything, we would just find another way to discriminate between ourselves.

Actually, Dogma was immensely more sacrilegious, and nobody went nuts over that film. Oh yeah, maybe that is because it satarized the Catholic Church AND it wasn't realistic. Talk about taking shots at Christian faith and Catholism, did you morons miss all of that? You know, I laughed at that film just like I am laughing at all of you uneducated bible wielding holy rollers who have nothing better to do with their lives or time than rally behind a cause you have no clue about. First off, if you really want to stand for something, educatate yourselves first, and at least see the damned movie at least.

If you really want to do something that will do good for the world or make an impact on society, try some of these options:

1) Work on world hunger. Take your lazy self-righteous ass down the to the soup kitchen and help those folks out, I bet the most of you have never been to one.

2) Combat Cancer. Talk about about a killer in the mist, raise money for the Ameican Cancer Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

3) Teach people about abstinence or safe sex. Whatever your spin, teach young people not to get knocked up at such an early age, so they can continue their own growth and education, instead of providing and caring for a kid they have no way the means nor the know how to take care of. Stop de-evolution. Further on this, STD's, HIV, and AIDS are just as deadly, and yet ridiculously more avoidable.

4) Join the Peace Core. It's not for me, but hell, at the least they are doing something proactive.

5) Go to college, get your GED, DO SOMETHING for the Love of God. Education can only help your narrow-minded, uneduacated, and unexplored views. If I have learned one thing, it is never piss off a black woman or anger someone who can smite your butt from the fifth dimension with 1.21 gigawatts of electricity.

The Moose has Spoken...

Amen.

An opening from 2004...

Hey all, Long time no see...

Well, I know I haven't updated this bad boy blog in weeks...alright, make that months, but life has sort of been a constant state of survival for me. No, I am not saying I have been fighting off terrorists from taking over suburbia, or combatting a series of commando Green Beret crickets that have been air droppped from Virginia, nor have I been surviving the onslought of a Hurricane in Florida (more on my views of that later). I have been in Michigan the entire time. Oh yes I have.

This is actually a pretty good opening from September 14, 2004. I am not entirely sure what state of mind I was in consdering the title was "At Least I Didn't Jump Off the Ambassador Bridge." I am actually surprised that I can write creatively, I always viewed myself as a Editor.

Thanks Dave and Karl!
